tmux-ide 2.9.4
tmux-ide 2.9.4, the current release: the installer sets up Claude Code agent teams, a new agent-teams command, and corrected CLI help.
Version 2.9.4 was released on October 7, 2026. The installer now sets up
Claude Code agent teams for you, so teammates open as tmux split panes that
tmux-ide names, groups and tracks. Existing tmux sessions keep running when you
update or close the app. Upgrade with tmux-ide update, or rerun the installer
below.
Claude Code agent teams, set up by the installer
curl -fsSL https://tmux-ide.com/install.sh | shWhen Claude Code is installed, the installer adds
CLAUDE_CODE_EXPERIMENTAL_AGENT_TEAMS=1 and teammateMode: "auto" to
~/.claude/settings.json. It adds each key only if it is missing, keeps a
one-time backup, never rewrites a file that isn't valid JSON, and never
overrides a value you set, including an explicit opt-out. If the step fails,
the install still succeeds and prints a warning.
To skip it, pass --no-claude-agent-teams to install.sh or set
TMUX_IDE_NO_CLAUDE_AGENT_TEAMS=1. npm installs don't change Claude Code
settings. See Claude Code agent teams for what
tmux-ide shows for teammates.
New command
tmux-ide integration agent-teams enable|disable|status [--json] checks or
changes the setting later. disable writes an explicit opt-out that later
installs respect; running enable yourself turns it back on.
