# tmux-ide 2.9.9

`2.9.9` fixes terminal panes shrinking when the native macOS app loses focus.

## Stable terminal dimensions

Switching to another app could reset a terminal to 80 columns by 24 rows. The
daemon now retains the last accepted viewport while the viewer is inactive.
Returning to the app preserves those dimensions, and resizing the window applies
the new viewport normally.

Background viewers still release input control. Another attached tmux client can
take over sizing, and a new viewer can resize the terminal after taking control.

## Updating

Update the CLI and its running daemon to use the fix. Existing tmux sessions and
the programs in their panes are preserved. The native app remains a separate
installation. Use a [native build qualified for CLI 2.9.9](/docs/native-alpha):
older builds may reject this CLI version during local setup.
