# tmux-ide 2.9.14

> Native pane cards, compact navigation, keyboard badges and a browser launch command.

`2.9.14` accompanies native macOS alpha `0.1.9`, build `2026102701`.
The CLI/daemon and native app are separate installations.

## Native workspace

Terminal panes have separate rounded cards with gutters and a continuous header
and content surface. Close sits on the far right. The compact sidebar handles
session switching; the top bar no longer duplicates session tabs, and the
connected footer is removed. Window tabs remain above the pane cards.

Pane dividers activate correctly and content sizing keeps bottom terminal rows
visible. Use Command–Option–Arrow to focus an adjacent pane and Command–Shift–Enter
to expand or restore it. Menus display these shortcuts as keyboard badges.

## Open a browser pane

Run `tmux-ide open https://example.com` inside a tmux pane, or select a session
with `--session NAME`. Add `--window` to create a browser window instead of a split.
The command requires a separately installed terminal-browser executable and
reports missing executables or invalid targets before creating a pane.

The prepared development integration supports native pixel surfaces and favicon
metadata in pane headers and window tabs. It observes only its own pane's cells,
and native receivers discard obsolete surface handoffs during resize without
closing the whole image connection. Stock terminal-browser installations retain
their existing terminal rendering path. tmux-ide does not bundle or automatically
update the external browser. Native address and navigation controls are planned
for a subsequent change.

## Updating

Update the CLI/daemon and the [native macOS app](/docs/native-alpha) separately.
Existing tmux sessions remain intact. No measured GUI/TUI performance-parity claim
is made.
