# App demo

> An animated tour of the tmux-ide app, showing Home, an agent-aware Terminals workspace and Commands, rendered from the production components.

<img alt="Animated tour of the tmux-ide app showing Home, Terminals, and Commands" src="__img0" />

This animated demo shows the tmux-ide 2.9 app cycling through Home, Terminals
and the Commands palette. Each frame is rendered from the app's production
components: the machine sidebar, the Home agent list, pane headers with status
markers, and Commands. Only the terminal contents are invented.

The tour cycles through three frames:

| Frame     | Shows                                                    |
| --------- | -------------------------------------------------------- |
| Home | Agents across your machines with their status (`F1`) |
| Terminals | The live session with named panes and window tabs (`F2`) |
| Commands  | The `F5` palette over Terminals                          |

tmux-ide's release client is a native terminal renderer, so the demo is an
animated SVG capture rather than a second browser implementation. Glyphs ship
inside the SVG as a Geist Mono subset, so it looks the same on every OS.

Try it yourself with [Getting started](/docs/getting-started), or read the
[app tour](/docs/app-surfaces) for what each view does.

With reduced motion enabled, the SVG shows the Terminals frame without
animation, and the working spinner shows a steady `●`.

## For contributors: regenerate the demo

From a checkout:

```bash
pnpm demo:tui
```

The command writes `docs/public/tui-demo.svg` and records fingerprints of the
presentation code it renders. `pnpm docs:build` fails, naming the changed
files, when the demo is out of date. It requires the same Bun and OpenTUI
development dependencies used by renderer tests; installed users do not need
them.
